This piece is conceived as a deliberate anomaly—an exploration of distortion and a challenge to conventional perception. The front placket is concealed, while the back features a fully functional exposed placket, inverting expectations of garment structure. The front panel and hemline are intentionally asymmetrical, further emphasizing the garment’s unconventional form.
The fabric itself plays a crucial role: crafted from ‘crushed’ Japanese silk, it enhances the shirt’s twisted, deconstructed aesthetic with texture and visual complexity.
